Vinicius Jr has scored five finishes in 10 Spanish league outings this season.
The Madrid giants forward Vinicius Jr has apologised to supporters for his reaction when replaced in Sunday's heated El Clasico victory.
He was replaced in the 72nd min and displayed his frustration by going straight off the pitch.
The Brazilian eventually reappeared to the dugout and, after his side's 2-1 win, sought to engage the opposition's opposing player during unsavoury post-match scenes.
"This day I want to express regret to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was taken off in the derby," he wrote on his account.
"Similarly to I have previously expressed during the latest training, I also want to express regret anew to my colleagues, the club, and the leadership.
"Sometimes passion takes over me because I continuously aim to win and help my side. My competitive character comes from the love I feel for this team and all it represents."
Vinicius moved to the Spanish capital from his former club in 2018 for a significant fee and has scored over a century of strikes in numerous matches.
But his career in the Madrid is far from certain with speculation in lately stating that Los Blancos would think about allowing the young star move on if they got a appropriate bid.
When he was replaced on the match day, cameras from coverage provider the service picked him up saying: "It's always me! I'm departing the side! It's preferable if I depart, I'm moving on."
In his most recent post on X, the athlete commented: "I promise to keep battling constantly for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have performed since the first day."
